Fluidity, motion, dynamics, and nature.
LIT SCENES was a unique project with diverse approaches to the visual strategy. A central element, next to the titular lighting, was water. Fluidity in style, combining classical and jazz elements, is central to Jesse Passenier’s work, values which are shared with his ensemble, the FLUID ORCHESTRA. This element is already clearly reflected in the artwork and photography.
For the video production, we took the concept one step further, namely by making a dedicated music video for one of the tracks on his album, named WILD WATERS. The extensive production featured a multiple-day shoot in a wild water area in winter, which was artistically and logistically as challenging as it was satisfying. Jesse Passenier also set a new gold standard for client input, by jumping through an icy river with nothing but his jeans and a T-shirt.
